Our Life

So, I am rather new at this blog thing and decided I would throw together another blog given I have some extra free timetoday! I decided I would do a "get to know us" blog... it is probably nothing too interesting but is a little update on our lives.

Currently Lanny and I are living in the wonderful "newly wed grandma house". This is a little apartment off of the side of Lanny's G-ma and G-pa Udall's home. It was the great grandma's home but after she passed away several years ago it has become the newly wed's home. There has been several couples that have lived here before us and we are so extremely grateful for the opportunity to live here and save money, or at least try :)

Coincidentally enough we are in both of Lanny's grandparents ward, and until I was put into Young Women's, I would sit in between both grandmas during Relief Society, it was fun :) But now I am what the Young Women's President calls a "floating advisor", I didn't know they existed until I became one but I have enjoyed it a lot because I have been able to get to know all of the girls regardless of age or class and it has been great. Lanny is the 11 year old scout leader and teaches Priesthood once a month, every Monday night he panics about what he will do for scouts Tuesday afternoon, but he being the hardcore scouter he is, enjoys it!

Lanny is working at at King Steel and Ironworks as a "steel fabricator", or in less fancy terms, a welder. It is tough work and he comes home everyday looking like he has fought fires and rolled around in the mud, but handsome none the less! I keep trying to get him to go down to Walmart and buy some new work shirts but he doesn't seem to think it is necessary, so I gave up on that one :) I am still working at Davis Miles Law Firm, where I sit in my cube all day and chip away at replying to hundreds of emails, which is part of the reason I don't have much drive to 'blog' when I get  home!

Over the past month I have had some unexpected health issues and the bills are quite overwhelming... thank goodness for health insurance, and the fact that it went into affect not days before I became ill! The good news is I am feeling much better and soon will be able to find out what is or was wrong. Thank goodness for wonderful family to be there for you when you need them. I love my family!

I hope this wasn't too long or boring, but its our lives! I am going to try to get my pictures more organized so I can start posting some more interesting things, please be patient with me, I am still learning :)

I love you all!
